FM Logistic commitment to new sustainable technologies with natural gas trucks

November 21, 2013. The Spanish logistics company FM Logistic has added to its fleet the first truck powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG), which is more efficiently and with less environmental impact. This investment reinforces the company's commitment to new technologies and sustainable energy solutions for mobility. The company already announced the upcoming acquisition of more environmentally friendly vehicles.

   With this truck, FM Logistic is also intended to reduce the level of noise produced during transport and unloading tasks, and thus contribute to improving the livability of the city. Natural gas halved acoustic emissions compared to diesel in heavy vehicles.

   Antonio Sanchez, Director of Transportation and Distribution of FM Logistic, ensures that the use of natural gas in heavy vehicles is the future for its numerous environmental advantages. He added that mobility plans of major cities every day looking for the balance between the comfort of citizenship and efficient delivery.

   FM Logistic has been accredited by EcoVadis as a provider that develops Corporate Social Responsibility through its supply chain, as well as Green Freight Europe, which is an independent voluntary program to improve the environmental performance of road freight transport in Europe.
